CSL (Cochin Shipyard Limited) has announced recruitment for the position of Project Assistants with 90 vacancies. The notification was issued on September 3, 2024, and applications are open until September 21, 2024. The minimum qualification for these positions is a three-year diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering/Information Technology, with at least 60% marks from a recognized board. Candidates should also have proficiency in computer applications like SAP, MS Project, and MS Office.
Applicants must be under 30 years old as of September 21, 2024, with age relaxations applicable for OBC (3 years) and SC/ST (5 years) candidates, as well as PwBD and ex-servicemen according to government guidelines. The pay scale ranges from ₹24,400 to ₹25,900 per month over three years. An application fee of ₹600 is required, though SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempt. The fee must be paid online during the application period.
Selection will be based on a two-part online test, including an Objective Type Test with 80 questions and a Descriptive Type Test. Qualifications Details for CSL Recruitment 2024
The minimum qualification stipulated for all the posts must be from a University/Institute/ Examination Board recognized by AICTE/appropriate statutory authority/State/Central Government.
Mechanical
- Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% of marks from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Proficiency in Computer Applications like SAP, MS Project, MS Office etc.
Electrical
- Three year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% of marks from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Proficiency in Computer Applications like SAP, MS Project, MS Office etc.
Electronics
- Three year Diploma in Electronics Engineering with minimum 60% of marks from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Proficiency in Computer Applications like SAP, MS Project, MS Office etc.
Information Technology
- Three year Diploma in Computer Engineering/Information Technology with minimum 60% of marks from a State Board of Technical Education. :
- Any additional qualification related to IT/ Computer Science.
- Adequate knowledge in SAP
Age Limit for CSL Recruitment 2024
- The upper age limit prescribed for the posts shall not exceed 30 years as on 21 September 2024, i.e. applicants should be born or after 22 September 1994.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates in posts reserved for them.
- Age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen shall be as per Government of India Guidelines.
- However, in no case, age limit after applying all age relaxations shall exceed 45 years

Application Fee For CSL Recruitment 2024
- Application fee of ₹ 600/- (Non refundable, plus bank charges extra) should be remitted using the Online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking/Wallets/ UPI etc) which can be accessed through our Online application facility from 03 September 2024 to 21 September 2024.
- No other mode of payment shall be accepted. (ii) Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) need not pay application fee.
- They are exempted from payment of application fee.
- All applicants for whom the fee is applicable, i.e. except those belonging to SC/ST/PwBD, should pay the application fee as stipulated in the above clause. It is important to note that their candidature shall be considered only on receipt of application fee
Selection Process for CSL Recruitment 2024
- The method of selection for the posts shall be through Objective Type Online test and Descriptive Type Online Test which shall be conducted out of 100 marks and marks awarded accordingly.
- The Objective Type Online Test shall be of 90 Minutes duration comprising of 80 Multiple Choice Questions in the following areas. Each question carries one mark and there shall be no negative marks.
- The Descriptive Type Online test shall be of 45 minutes duration. The details of Objective and Descriptive type test are as under:-

- The website will remain functional for the purpose of submitting applications from 03 September 2024 and the last date for submission of applications through online is 21 September 2024.
- In order to avoid heavy traffic in website on the last date that may result in non-submission of application, candidates are advised to log in to CSL website and submit applications well in advance before the last date.
- Those who apply on the last date of application may not get any troubleshooting assistance / technical support in the online application portal by email/phone after 1600 hrs on the last date.

- The application consists of two phases – Registration and Submission of application. Applicants should not submit more than one application to the same post.
- Application once submitted shall be final.
- Online Exams for various posts will be normally conducted simultaneously. Hence, candidate shall apply only for one post.
