CSL Recruitment 2024 Notification Out Apprentices Vacancies, Check Eligibility at cochinshipyard.in
Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) is recruiting 140 apprentices across various disciplines with monthly stipends ranging from ₹10,200 to ₹12,000. Applicants must be over 18 years old as of August 31, 2024. Graduate Apprentices need a relevant Engineering degree, while Technician (Diploma) Apprentices require a diploma in engineering or commercial practice.
Selection will be based on academic merit, with preference given to Kerala domicile candidates. Qualifications Details for CSL Recruitment 2024
I Graduate Apprentices:
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline. A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline. Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
- Some Universities/Institutes/Examination Boards do not award Class or Percentage of marks and allot Aggregate Grade Points (e.g. CGPA/OGPA/CPI, etc.). In case University/Institute/Examination Board defines criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the same shall be accepted.
- However, where the University/ Institute/ Examination does not define criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the Aggregate Grade Points shall be multiplied by 10 to get the required percentage of marks.
Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline. A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
- Commercial Practice: A Diploma in Commercial Practice granted by an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government.
Age Limit for CSL Recruitment 2024
- Above 18 years old as on 31.08.2024
Pay Scale for CSL Recruitment 2024
- The training program offers a variety of engineering disciplines with different numbers of seats and stipends. In the first list, Electrical & Electronics Engineering has 12 seats with a stipend of ₹12,000 per month, while Mechanical Engineering has 20 seats.
- Other fields include Electronics & Communication Engineering (6 seats), Civil Engineering (14 seats), Computer Science/Information Technology (5 seats), Fire & Safety Engineering (4 seats), Marine Engineering (4 seats), and Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding (4 seats).
- In the second list, Electrical Engineering has 15 seats with a stipend of ₹10,200 per month, Mechanical Engineering also has 20 seats, Electronics Engineering has 8 seats, Instrumentation Technology has 4 seats, Civil Engineering has 10 seats, Computer Engineering has 5 seats, and Commercial Practice has 9 seats.
Selection Process for CSL Recruitment 2024
- Only candidates who are domicile of Kerala shall be considered. Short-listing of candidates for selection will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines. In case, same percentage of marks is secured by more than one candidate in prescribed qualification, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in passing year.
- Candidates short-listed for the certificate verification prior to selection should bring the original certificates towards proof of age, qualification, percentage of mark, caste, disability (if any) etc. and self-attested copies of all these certificates, for verification and their candidature shall be considered on the strength of the original certificates. In case of failure to produce the original certificates, the candidature shall be rejected.
- Those candidates who successfully complete certificate verification shall be provisionally considered for selection against the notified training seats in the order of merit/reservation, subject to Medical fitness.
How to Apply for CSL Recruitment 2024
- Apprenticeship registration and application must be completed through the new NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in. Students registered on the old portal (portal.mhrdnats.gov.in) should activate their accounts using the "forgot password" option, log in, complete their application form, and apply for "COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED" under advertised vacancies.
- New users should visit the NATS portal, register as students, complete their application, receive a unique Enrolment Number, log in, and apply for "COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED." For any issues, contact the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), Southern Region, Chennai, at [email protected]. The online application period runs from August 14, 2024, to August 31, 2024.
