CCMB is seeking applications for several positions on a contractual basis. The positions include Project Associate-I, Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical), Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical), Junior Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow, and Research Associate-III.
For the Project Associate-I role, candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology. The position requires hands-on experience in Proteomics, Metabolomics, Lipidomics experiments, and proficiency in tools like Python, R, and biostatistics.
The Project Research Scientist-III position demands handling a minimum of five relevant projects as PI or Co-PI, along with a First Class Post Graduate Degree or a Second Class Post Graduate Degree with a PhD. Experience in Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or Infectious Diseases is preferred.

Qualifications Details for CSIR-CCMB Recruitment 2024
Project Associate-I: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent
Project Research Scientist-III: Must have handled minimum five projects relevant to requirement as PI or Co-PI AND First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with three years experience or PhD (OR) Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with PhD and three years experience.
Project Research Scientist-II: First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with three years experience or PhD OR Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with PhD and three years experience
Junior Research Fellow: MSc / MVSc / BTech or equivalent degree in any area of Biology from a recognized University selected through a process described through any one of the following: Scholars who are selected through National eligibility tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc
Senior Research Fellow: MSc / MVSc / BTech or equivalent degree in any area of Biology from a recognized University selected through a process described through any one of the following: Scholars who are selected through National eligibility tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc. AND 2 years of research experience
Research Associate-III: PhD / MD or equivalent degree in any area of Biology from a recognized University (OR) MTech / MVSc or equivalent degree in any area of Biology from a recognized University with at least 3 years of research experience and 1 research paper in SCI indexed journal

Pay Scale for CSIR-CCMB Recruitment 2024
- Project Associate-I: 31,000/-p.m. + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) 25,000/-p.m. + HRA as applicable/admissible
- Project Research Scientist-III: 78000+27% HRA (increment of 5% on initial emoluments after completing two years)
- Project Research Scientist-II: 67000+27% HRA (increment of 5% on initial emoluments after completing two years)
- Junior Research Fellow: 37,000/-p.m. + HRA
- Senior Research Fellow: 42,000/-p.m. + HRA
- Research Associate-III: 67,000/-p.m. + HRA

The candidate(s) shortlisted by CCMB scientists/designated committee have to appear for interview in person/online before the Selection Committee. The date, time and venue of the test/interview will be notified in due course through email only.
