CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO) has released Advertisement No. 05/2024 for filling temporary positions and forming a waitlisted panel against sponsored R&D projects. Qualification for CSIO Recruitment 2024
Project Associate-I
- National EligibilityTests- CSIR UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR
- A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Department and their Agencies and institutions
- B.E./BTech degree in Computer Science/Information technology or related areas from a recognized university Or
- Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information technology or related areas from a recognized university
Project Associate-II
- National Eligibility TestsCSIRUGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR
- A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Department and their Agencies and institutions. OR
- B.E./BTech degree in Computer Science/Information technology or related areas from a recognized university Or
- Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information technology or related areas from a recognized university
- 2 years’ experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organisation and scientific activities and services
Junior Research Fellow
- National EligibilityTests- CSIR UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE
- A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Department and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc
- B.E./BTech degree in Computer Science/Information technology or related areas from a recognized university Or
- Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information technology or related areas from a recognized university

Age Limit for CSIO Recruitment 2024
- The upper age limit for applicants, as of the last date of application submission, is 35 years.
- Eligible candidates meeting the specified criteria regarding age, educational qualifications, and experience are encouraged to complete the online Application Form available through the 'Recruitment' link
Selection Procedure for CSIO Recruitment 2024
- In case a large number of candidates apply for the position, the Selection/Screening Committee will have discretion to shortlist the candidates for interview based on written exam or percentage of marks or desirable qualification/experience or higher qualification or any other criteria deemed fit.
- List of selected candidates will be displayed on the website.
- In addition, a waiting panel will also be drawn for meeting future requirements of the project and it will be valid for one year.
- The selected candidates are expected to join within fifteen days from the date of receiving offer of appointment, after completion of pre-appointment formalities like medical examination and character verification etc.
- The selected candidates will have to deposit an amount equivalent to Fifteen Day’s stipend as a Security Deposit (Refundable) with CSIR-CSIO, at the time of joining.
