The Centre for Materials For Electronics Technology (CMET) has announced its 2024 recruitment for various temporary positions, including Project Associate, Project Assistant, and Principal Project Associate, among others. With 11 vacancies available, candidates must meet specific educational qualifications, such as a BE/BTech or Ph.D., depending on the position. Qualification for CMET Recruitment 2024

• Project Associate -I (A): First Class/60% of Marks in BE/BTech in Electrical and Electronics/El ectronics and Communicatio n/Electronics & Instrumentatio n Engg
• Project Assistant: First Class/60% of Marks in Diploma in Electrical/Elec tronics Engg. OR B.Sc. Physics/Chemi stry
• Scientifi c Adminis trative Assistant: First Class/60% of Marks in B.Com
• Principal Project Associate: Ph.D in Chemistry/Mat erial Science/Physic s or equivalent with four years experience in R& D in industrial or academic/rese arch institutions in the field of 2D materials and devices, CVD, Lithography
• Project Associate -I (B): First Class/60% of Marks in BE/BTech in Electrical and Electronics/El ectronics and Communicatio n/Electronics & Instrumentatio n Engg
• Project Assistant: First Class/60% of Marks in Diploma in Electrical/Elec tronics Engg. OR B.Sc. Physics/Chemi stry

General Terms and Conditions for CMET Recruitment 2024

• All the Positions are purely temporary and the appointment will be initially for a period of One Year or till completion of the project, whichever earlier. However, the tenure may be extended beyond one year upto the completion of the Project. However, the performance of the staff will be reviewed on completion of six months service to decide the suitability of further retention. If found not suitable for further retention she/he will be terminated without any notice
• Reservation to these positions is subjected to Govt. of India decisions. Separate qualified lists will be prepared for Gen, SC, ST and OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates and appointments will be done on rotation from the these list in the order of Merit based the reservation rotation points.
• No. of positions mentioned is as per present vacancies and the appointments for the future vacancies during the currency of the Project(s), as decided by Competent Authority, will be done from the Select List prepared.
• SC/ST and OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates, who are qualified in the interviews on relaxed standard; ie on age relaxation, will not be considered in Gen list.
• On appointment, it will not confer any right on the appointee for claim for regular appointment. 6. Appointment of candidates are subject to verification of original documents.
• Selected candidate will be required to produce a medical certificate of fitness in the prescribed form, from a Government Doctor not below the rank of Civil Surgeon and character certificates from two Gazetted Officers working in Central/State Government at the time of joining the post.
• Selected candidate will be required to report for duty as mentioned in the offer (normally within 10 days from the date of offer) and no extension will be given.
• Selected candidate will be required to work till the completion of the project and resigning from the post during the currency of the project period shall not normally be entertained

Selection Process for CMET Recruitment 2024

• Only those candidates who are screened in by a Committee will be considered for Interview, for final selection.
• In the case of number of candidates are high, written test may be conducted.
• The decisions of the Screening/Selection Committee are final and binding on all stakeholders.
• Influence in any manner will be treated as disqualification.

• Those who are eligible for the above posts may download the application format from C-MET website and take print out of the application format.
• The filled in application form signed and affixed with recent photographand the documents in support of Qualification, Age, Experience, SC/ST, noncreamy layer certificate in the case of OBC etc. shall be sent to the Administrative Officer, Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology, Shornur Road, Athani, M.G. Kavu. P.O., Thrissur – 680581.
• The last date of receipt of application is 15th October, 2024. Those who are willing to apply for more than one post shall apply in separate application format.
• The applications not in the prescribed format, incomplete applications, the applications without sufficient documentary evidences, and applications applied for more than one post in a single application, will not be considered and will be rejected.
