CLW Recruitment 2024 Notification Out For 492 Vacancies, Check Posts, Qualification, Salary And Application Procedure
Applications are being sought for Act Apprentices under the Apprentice Act of 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules of 1962 for the year 2024-2025. The positions are open to ITI passed out candidates in various designated trades such as Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder, Electrician, Ref. & A.C. Mechanics, and Painter.
The total number of positions available is 492, with reservations for different categories including UR, OBC, SC, and ST as per Railway Board's guidelines. Applicants must be registered on apprenticeshipindia.org and upload all required documents for verification at the time of engagement.
The engagement of Act Apprentices will be based on registration in the portal and compliance with the prescribed rules and directives issued by the Railway Board regarding training period and stipend.

Qualifications Details for CLW Recruitment 2024
- Candidate must pass out ITI Examination (NCVT) (final or provisional certificate) and must have the certificate in the notified trades for applying under point-1(A) of this notification.
- Candidate must pass in Matriculation/10th class in 10+2 examination system or equivalent examination from Recognized Board, i.e. Board which are recognized by the "Council of Boards of School Education in India" (COBSE) only, for applying under Point- 1(A) of this notification.
Age Limit for CLW Recruitment 2024
- The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years, as on 27-03-2024 a) The UR candidates should born between 27-03-2000 to 27-03-2009.
- The OBC candidates should born between 27-03-1997 to 27-03-2009.
- The SC & ST candidates should born between 27-03-1995 to 27-03-2009.
- Persons with Disability (PWD): The upper age relaxation to PWD candidates is 10 (ten) years
- Ex-Serviceman: The upper age limit is relaxable for Ex-servicemen up to the extent of service rendered in the Defence forces plus 03 years provided they have put 06 years regular service
Pay Scale for CLW Recruitment 2024
- Training Period and Stipend: As per the extant rules and directives issued by Railway Board from time to time.
Important Instructions for CLW Recruitment 2024
- Candidates to please note that this is not an employment.
- The decision of the Railway administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications and mode of selection shall be final.
- Imparting Training in Railway will not confer any right to the candidates for their absorption in Railway after successful completion of training.
- No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- No manual application will be entertained. Only the candidates, who have registered themselves in the portal will be considered.
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature and no correspondence will be entertained in the matter.
- If the candidate fails to produce the original certificates at the time of screening will be debarred for empanelment. One set of copies of certificates, self-attested to be submitted at the time of screening.
- Before applying, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other criteria, at any stage of engagement and if erroneously engaged, such candidates shall be summarily dismissed without notice.
Selection Process for CLW Recruitment 2024
- There will be no written examination or interview/oral exam in this selection. Engagement of Act Apprentices will be done only on the basis of merit list on the basis of marks obtained in Class-X examination, provided in the portal.
- Such shortlisted Candidates will be informed through registered email and mobile number by way of issuing call letters.
- Candidates will have to accept the same and submit acceptance through portal.
- No extra weightage shall be granted to candidates having higher qualification. If the notitied slot of engagement of candidates will not be filled up for any reasons or after verification of original testimonials then only a second list may be issued to make good of the short fall.
- Candidates finally enlisted would be engaged subject to being found fit in appropriate Medical examination by Railways as applicable for the Workshop.
How to Apply for CLW Recruitment 2024
- The applicants should be registered in apprenticeshipindia.org and all documents should be uploaded in the portal. The same will be verified at the time of engagement.
- Should be registered in the portal www.apprenticeshipindia.org. The candidates, who register themselves up to, 18-04-2024, 24.00 hrs will be treated as eligible.
