The Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) is conducting recruitment for the position of Young Professional - II, with one opening available under the NASF Project titled "Elucidation of molecular mechanism of captive reproduction of Clarias dussumieri and derive relevant molecular cues for successful induced spawning of male Clarias magur" at ICAR-CIFA Bhubaneswar.
The walk-in interviews are scheduled for April 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Candidates must possess an M.F.Sc or M.Sc degree in relevant disciplines such as Genetics and Breeding, Fish Biotechnology, Fish Nutrition and Physiology, Aquaculture, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Biochemistry, or Zoology from a recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in Metagenomics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Bioinformatics research, as well as those who have completed Pre Ph.D. work.
The consolidated salary for the position is Rs. 42,000/- per month. The age limit ranges from 21 to 45 years with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and Divyaang candidates as per rules. Selected candidates may be required to work in rural areas and travel extensively. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview, and canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

CIFA Recruitment 2024 Qualification
- M.F.Sc (Genetics and Breeding, Fish Biotechnology, Fish Nutrition and Physiology, Aquaculture)
- M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Genomics/Biochemistry/ Zoology from a recognized University.
- Candidates having hands on experience on Metagenomics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistryand Bioinformatics related research will be preferred.
- Candidate who has completed Pre Ph.D. work may get a preference

- The Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) is seeking to fill openings for the role of Young Professional as part of the CIFA Recruitment 2024. Walk-in interviews are scheduled for April 29, 2024. The selected candidates will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 42,000/- per month.
CIFA Recruitment 2024 Age Limit
- Lower and upper age limits will be 21 years and 45 years respectively, with relaxation of age to SC/ST/OBC and Divyaang candidates as per rules.
Selection Process for CIFA Recruitment 2024
- The selected candidate may also be required to work in rural areas and travel extensively, as per requirement of the work.
- In a case of the overall equal marks, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
- Further, if the candidates are of same age, the candidate who has obtained higher marks in r/o column No. V while short listing the candidates, will be ranked higher.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. No interim enquiries will be entertained. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualifiedfor the position.
- The above engagements are purely temporary and will stand terminated automatically after completion of period indicated in the selection offer, or otherwise intimated subsequently subject to willingness of the candidate. The candidate will not have any right for absorption in ICAR- CIFA/ICAR.
