The Central Institute of Educational Technology, N.C.E.R.T (CIET-NCERT) has announced recruitment for various positions under the project 'Capacity Building for Transforming Teachers into Digital Teachers'. The positions include Senior Academic Consultant, Academic Consultant, Technical Consultant, and Junior Project Fellow, totaling 8 vacancies.
The qualifications range from Masters Degree to B.E/B.Tech in relevant fields. The salary for these positions varies from Rs. 29,000 to Rs. 75,000 per month. The age limit ranges from below 40 years to not more than 45 years, depending on the position.

Qualification for CIET-NCERT Recruitment 2024
Senior Academic Consultant
● Masters in anyone one of the school subjects taught at secondary level of school education from recognized University / Institute with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade
● Ph.D in Education with specialization in Educational Technology or Teacher Education
● NET/SET/SLET Qualified OR exempted from NET as per UGC regulations for Assistant Professor at entry level.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in online course development & management/ Teaching ET or ICT at the level of teacher education/ Research in the area of ET or ICT/ Educational project management at the national level/ Coordinating teacher training
Academic Consultant
● Masters in the concerned subject i.e., English, Science, Mathematics, Social Science (History/ Political Science/ Geography)/ Computer Science with M.Ed with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade at both master degrees
● NET/SET/SLET Qualified OR exempted from NET as per UGC regulations for Assistant Professor at entry level.
Experience:
● A minimum of 3 years of experience in educational projects as an academic expert with a fair knowledge of the development and delivery of online courses, practical knowledge, and experience of working with computer applications.
● Experience in translation works is added value
Technical Consultant
Master Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Computer Engineering along with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Computer Engineering from recognized University / Institute with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in master degree
Experience:
A minimum 3 years of working experience in handling Learning Management Systems, interface designing, Content Management Systems, Creating and management of online courses, Database management of LMS, troubleshooting in LMS, and delivery and certification of online courses through LMS.
Junior Project Fellow
Master Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Cyber Security or B.E/ B.Tech in computer science/ informational Technology/ Cyber Security or equivalent subjects with 55% marks or equivalent Grade
Experience:
Having excellent oral and written communication; good interpersonal skills - proficiency in working with computers - word processing, spreadsheet, presentation etc. Knowledge of Research Methodology - Development of research tools, collection and analysis of data, report writing etc.
Pay Scale for CIET-NCERT Recruitment 2024
- Senior Academic Consultant: Rs. 75,000/- p.m. (consolidated)
- Academic Consultant: Rs. 60,000 per month (consolidated)
- Technical Consultant: Rs. 60,000 per month (consolidated)
- Junior Project Fellow: 31,000/- (For NET) Rs. 29,000 (For NonNET (Consolidated)
Age Limit for CIET-NCERT Recruitment 2024
- Senior Academic Consultant: Not more than 45 years / in case of retired faculty members not more than 70 years (relaxation as per GoI norms)
- Academic Consultant: Not more than 45 years / in case of retired faculty members not more than 70 years (relaxation as per GoI norms)
- Technical Consultant: Not more than 45 years / in case of retired faculty members not more than 70 years (relaxation as per GoI norms)
- Junior Project Fellow: Below 40 years (relaxation as per GoI norms)
Walkin Details For CIET-NCERT Recruitment 2024
- Candidates will have to report for the interview on the fixed date and report latest by 9.00 a.m. to the Section Officer (SO), Planning & Research Division (P&RD), Room No.242, CIET 2nd floor, Chacha Nehru Bhawan, CIET, NCERT, New Delhi-110 016 with copies of original certificates and testimonials for verification.
- It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility conditions in terms of (i) educational qualifications (ii) experience etc
- Candidates already in a job should forward their applications through their employer and/or come with a “No Objection Certificate”, without which the candidate will not be allowed to appear for this interview.
