Chennai Port Authority has announced the recruitment of 01 Deputy Director in Chennai. Candidates must have a degree in Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics from a recognized university and five years of executive experience in planning, data collection, compilation, interpretation, or field surveys. Desirable qualifications include a postgraduate degree/diploma in relevant subjects and knowledge of computer operations.
The salary for the Deputy Director position is in the pay scale of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,60,000. Eligible candidates must apply through the Online Application Portal (OAP) of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and submit a print-out of the online application along with required documents.
The last date to apply is April 15, 2024. Applications should be forwarded through proper channel to the Secretary, Chennai Port Authority. Only applications received through proper channel by the specified deadline will be considered.

Qualification for Chennai Port Authority Recruitment 2024
- Essential:- i) Degree in Economics or Statistics or Mathematics from a recognized university. il) Five years executive experience in Planning or in collection, compilation and interpretation of data or in conducting field surveys, investigation, etc.
- Desirable :- i) Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Economics or Statistics or Mathematics or Operational Research and allied subjects from a recognized university/ institution. ii) Knowledge of computer operations.
Pay Scale for Chennai Port Authority Recruitment 2024
Applications are invited for filling up of one post of Deputy Director (Research) (Class I) in Traffic Department, Chennai Port Authority in the pay scale of Rs.50000-160000 (Revised) (Pre-revised scales: Rs.20600-46500 / Rs. 10750-16750) on Absorption / Deputation basis from the eligible Officers of Major Port Authorities, who possess the prescribed qualifications, experience, as mentioned in the RR, enclosed at Annexure-1.

- Eligible candidates have to apply through 'Online Application Portal (OAP) of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and a print- out of the online application should be sent through proper channel, along with the following documents within the stipulated time.
- a) Copies of educational qualifications and experience. b) Undertaking of the applicant not to withdraw, if selected. C) A self attested Passport Size Photo of the candidate to be affixed on the application.
- Ports have to forward the applications of suitable and willing Officers who satisfy the requirements, along with the following documents, so as to reach Secretary, Chennai Port Authority, Rajaji Salai, Chennai - 600 001, on or before 15.04.2024
- The crucial date for determining the eligibility is the last date of receipt of applications, i.e. 15.04.2024. Applications received through proper channel will only be considered. Applications received after the last date / without ACRs / APARs / without enclosures, etc. will not be considered.
- The applications duly forwarded within the due date shall only be considered. Hence, the Port Authorities are requested to forward the applications with complete details, so as to reach the undersigned on or before 15.04.2024.
