The Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI) has announced recruitment for Project Associate-I with one vacancy. The salary offered is Rs. 25,000, and the age limit is 35 years. Candidates need a B.E./B.Tech in Ceramic, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering, or an M.Sc. in Chemistry.

Eligible applicants must apply online by April 24, 2024, via the CGCRI website. Walk-in interviews are scheduled for April 26, 2024, at the CGCRI premises in Kolkata. Age Limit for CGCRI Recruitment 2024

• Age Limit for CGCRI Recruitment 2024 is set at 35 years, with qualifications and age considered as of the last date of application.
• Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PH and women candidates according to the specified rules.

General Information for CGCRI Recruitment 2024

• The applicant must be a citizen of India.
• All applicants must fulfil the essential requirements of the position and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement as on the last date of receipt of the online applications.
• Candidates may choose to communicate with the Interview board in official languages of India, i,e, either in Hindi or English.
• Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualifications laid down for the position as on the last date of receipt of the applications.
• No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained.
• The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
• The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates.
• The candidate should therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification. Such claims will only be considered if supported by valid documents.
• In respect of equivalent clause in Essential Qualifications, if a candidate is claiming a particular qualification as equivalent qualification as per the requirement of advertisement, then the candidate is required to produce order/letter in this regard, indicating the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated otherwise the Application is liable to be rejected.
• The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and /or experience etc. sCGCRIl be the closing date of receipt of online application.
• The period of experience in a discipline / area of work, wherever prescribed, is counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications prescribed for that post.
• Any discrepancy found between the information given in application and as evident in original documents will make the candidate ineligible for appearing in interview.
• The decision of the CGCRI in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, and conduct of examination/interview will be final and binding on the candidates.
• Candidates having marks expressed in CGPA / DGPA / OGPA etc. must convert them into their equivalent percentage of marks as per norms of the University/Institute concerned.
• Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the position.
• The engagement is purely temporary & co-terminus with the project and, therefore, does not confer any right / claim implicit or explicit for regularization or absorption against any CGCRI / CSIR post.
• Total period of the engagement of a Project Staff in different projects, either in the same or different Lab / Institution of CSIR taken together should not exceed 5 years in any case.
