CERC Recruitment 2024: New Opportunity Out, Check Vacancy, Post, Age, Qualification and Application Procedure
The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) is seeking applications for the position of Member, with one vacancy available in New Delhi. According to section 89 of the Electricity Act, the Member shall hold office for a term of five years from the date of assuming office or until reaching the age of sixty-five, whichever comes earlier.
Interested candidates with qualifications and experience in finance are invited to submit their applications in the prescribed format, as per the enclosed proforma, to the Deputy Secretary (R&R-2), Ministry of Power, New Delhi - 110001. The deadline for application submission is 24th April 2024.

Qualification for CERC Recruitment 2024
- Members of the CERC shall be persons having adequate knowledge of, or experience in, or shown capacity in, dealing with, problems relating to engineering; finance; law, economics, commerce, or management, provided that not more than one Member shall be appointed under the same category.
- The above vacancy of Member is required to be filled up from the field of Finance as per Section 77(1) (b) of the Electricity Act, 2003.
Pay Scale for CERC Recruitment 2024
- Relevant extracts of the Electricity Act, 2003 relating to the requirement of qualification, experience, etc. for Member, CERC; and copies of CERC (Salaries, Allowances and other Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Members) Rules, 2004;
- CERC (Salary, allowances and other conditions of service of Chairperson and Members) Amendment Rules 2010; and CERC (Salary, allowances and other conditions of service of Chairperson and Members) Amendment Rules, 2018 are attached with the vacancy circular posted at Ministry's website www.powermin.nic.in
Age Limit for CERC Recruitment 2024
In terms of section 89 of the Electricity Act, the Member shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he/ she enters upon his/ her office or till hel she attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier.
