Senior Project Associate

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry/ Nanoscience/ Nanotechnology or equivalent with 4 years’ experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions
• Science and Technology Organizations and scientific activities and services.
• Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering from a recognized university with hands on experience in fabrication of batteries
• Experience in Li-ion battery R&D

Project Associate – II

• Master’s Degree in Chemical Sciences or equivalent with 2 years of experience.

General Terms & Conditions For CECRI Recruitment 2024

• Eligible Candidates may appear for Walk-in-interview with all original and one set of Photocopies of certificates of educational qualification, age, caste (in case of SC/ST/OBC/EWS Candidates), experience (if any), one recent passport size photo and duly filled-in application.
• Age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/PwD Candidates as per Government of India instructions.
• If all things are equal, SC/ST/OBC/EWS Candidates may be given preference over General Candidates to ensure due representation.
• Final Semester/Year students who are awaiting results are not eligible to be considered.
• The date of determining the qualification and age limit shall be on the date of interview.
• The Selection would be based upon the performance in the interview, the selection/screening committee will have discretion to shortlist the candidates for the interview based on the criteria deemed fit. In respect of equivalent clause in essential qualifications, if a candidate is claiming a particular qualification as equivalent qualification as per the requirement of advertisement, then the candidate is required to produce order/letter in this regard, indicating the authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated, otherwise the application is liable to be rejected.
• In case of Universities/Institutes awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their University/Institute (copy of documented proof of the conversion factor may be attached). 9. Number of Positions required is indicative in nature, there may be an increase/decrease in the number based on requirement (s).
• If the number of candidates is more, the candidates will be short-listed for through a written test.
• Candidates selected will be provided either accommodation in the Institute Campus (if available) or shall be paid HRA (as applicable).
• Tenure mentioned above in a case will be co-terminus with the project or till such time this requirement exists whichever is earlier.
• The total period of the engagement of a Project Staff in different projects either in the same Lab/Instt. or different Lab/Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case.
• The engagement of Project Personnel is purely on temporary basis, initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the tenure of the Project/satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee as the case may be and does not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit on any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CECRI.
• If it is found at any stage of the process or thereafter that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria their candidature shall be cancelled without assigning any reason whatsoever.
• Wearing facemask and carrying hand sanitizer is mandatory. No candidate will be allowed entry inside the venue without facemask and hand sanitizer.

Walk-In Interview Details For CECRI Recruitment 2024

• Date & Time of Walk-in-interview: 24 th April, 2024 (Reporting Time: 09:00 am). No Candidate will be allowed to enter into the Venue after 09:30 a.m.
• CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR-CECRI), situated in Karaikudi, operates as a premier institute under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body functioning under the Department of Science & Technology.
• CSIR-CECRI aims to recruit skilled individuals as Senior Project Associates and Project Associates – II on a temporary basis for various projects at its Chennai Unit.
