The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) is seeking applications from Defence Officers to serve as an Advisor in Defence Technology at their Delhi office. The Advisor will play a crucial role in providing strategic guidance and expertise for the development of telecommunication technologies relevant to Defence and Paramilitary Forces, including areas such as Satellite Communications, Electronic Warfare, and Niche Technologies.
Responsibilities include strategic leadership, technology roadmap development, oversight of R&D projects, industry collaboration, quality assurance, and talent development. Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications, Physics, or Computer Science, with additional business study preferred, along with relevant experience at a Major General or equivalent level in Defence procurement and deployment of communication and electronic warfare equipment.
The engagement is initially for a two-year contract, subject to extension, with a consolidated remuneration of Rs 2 lakh per month. Interested candidates must apply by May 6, 2024, via email or to the Head of Personnel and Human Resources at C-DOT.

Qualifications Details for CDOT Recruitment 2024
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications or Master’s degree in Physics or Computer Science or equivalent
- Business study from a leading Business school will be preferable.
- Qualification on Defence Services Staff College, Higher Defence Management Course and National Defence College would be an added plus
- A Major General or equivalent level officer, with a deep understanding and at least two years’ experience of Defence Capital and Revenue procurement of Communication and Electronic Warfare equipment at the Apex level
- Experience in leading developmental Research and activities leading to deployment of such a product.
- Should have deployed large scale communication NWs Pan Country Level.
- At least 4 years’ experience in the current rank
Pay Scale for CDOT Recruitment 2024
- Consolidated Remuneration of Rs 2 lakh per month. In addition to consolidated remunerations, the Advisor shall not be paid any other allowances.
- The remunerations/salary for candidates from industry will be as per industry standards.
- Remunerations / salary will be consolidated and all inclusive. The Advisor will not be entitled for any other kind of allowances, residential accommodation and vehicle allowa
