The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) has announced recruitment for various positions including Field Assistant, Project Associate I and II, Project Scientist II, Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical), Senior Project Associate, and Senior Research Fellow.

Position, Vacancy for CCMB Recruitment 2024
Applications are invited from the eligible Indian National for temporary position(s) on contractual basis as indicated hereunder.
Director, CCMB reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions and also cancel the recruitment process for the positions mentioned above at any stage of the recruitment process. The decision of the Director, CSIR-CCMB will be final and binding.

Qualification for CCMB Recruitment 2024
Field Assistant:
B.Sc/ 3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology
Project Associate-I:
Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. Master's degree in any area of Biology
Project Associate-II:
- M Sc in Life Sciences from a recognized University and two years of research experience. M.Sc. preferably in Biotechnology, Zoology, Biochemistry.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture maintenance, cell-based assays, molecular biology, and cell biology experiments. Knowledge of maintaining equipment and instruments in the tissue culture facility and preparing different media and reagents used for routine cell culturing
Project Scientist – II:
Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent and Three years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services
Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical):
- First class post graduate degree including the integrated PG degree (OR) Second class PG degree including the integrated PG degree with PhD
- Experience in handling and manipulation in mice. Experience in molecular biology. Wetlab experience in cancer biology or cell biology or virology. At least one first author paper in reputed international journal in relevant area.
Senior Project Associate:
- M.Sc. in life Sciences from a recognized University AND Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services (OR)
- Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology/ Pharma / MD / MS from a recognized University or equivalent
Senior Research Fellow:
- M.Sc in Life Sciences/Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent with 2 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services
- Experience of working in a lab having molecular biology skills such as Nucleic acid isolation and purification, PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning. Genomic/ RNA seq Library preparation for Next Generation sequencing and analysis would be preferable.
Pay Scale for CCMB Recruitment 2024
- Field Assistant: 20,000/- + HRA
- Project Associate-I: 25,000/-p.m. + HRA (Without NET/ Gate qualification), 31,000/-p.m. + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
- Project Associate-II: 28,000/-p.m. + HRA as applicable/ admissible.
- Project Scientist – II: 67,000/-p.m. + HRA
- Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): 56000 INR+27% HRA
- Senior Project Associate: 42,000/- + HRA
- Senior Research Fellow: 42,000/-p.m. + HRA

- Field Assistant: Upper Age limit (years): 50
- Project Associate-I: Upper Age limit (years): 35
- Project Associate-II: Upper Age limit (years): 35
- Project Scientist – II: Upper Age limit (years): 40
- Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): Upper Age limit (years): 35
- Senior Project Associate: Upper Age limit (years):40
- Senior Research Fellow: Upper Age limit (years):35
- Age relaxation as per CSIR/Govt. of India guidelines.
- Age will be calculated as on the last date of receipt of online applications.
Selection Procedure for CCMB Recruitment 2024
- The applicants will be subjected to short listing by CCMB scientists/designated committee according to the current requirement and the candidate’s shortlisted for interview will be displayed on CCMB website.
- The candidate(s) shortlisted by CCMB scientists/designated committee have to appear for interview in person/online before the Selection Committee.
