Qualifications Details for BSF Recruitment 2024
- Three years Diploma/Degree in Auto Mobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an Institute recognized by Government.
- Matriculation or 10th Class pass from a recognized Board or Institution and Industrial Training Institute certificate in respective trade; or Three years work experience in respective trade from a reputed firm.
Age Limit for BSF Recruitment 2024
The age limit for the SI (Vehicle Mechanic) post (Group-B) is set at 30 years, with relaxation up to 5 years for government servants as per Central Government instructions. For the Constable (Technical) post (Group-C), candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old, with relaxation up to 40 years for departmental candidates following Central Government directives.

Selection Process for BSF Recruitment 2024
- The written examination for the post of Sub-Inspector (Vehicle Mechanic) will consist of a single composite paper conducted over a duration of two hours at designated examination centers. The question paper will be in Objective Type format, administered on an OMR-based answer sheet.
- It will comprise three parts: Part-A on General English with 20 questions carrying 20 marks, Part-B on General Awareness with 20 questions carrying 20 marks, and Part-C on Technical Subjects with 60 questions carrying 60 marks. In total, the examination will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks.
