BSF Recruitment 2024 Notification Out Assistant Sub Inspector and Head Constable Vacancies, Check Eligibility at bsf.gov.in
BSF has announced recruitment for Assistant Sub Inspector and Head Constable positions with a total of 1526 vacancies. Candidates must have passed the Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate examination from a recognized Board or University. The age limit is set between 18 to 25 years as of August 1, 2024.

Qualifications Details for BSF Recruitment 2024
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
- The candidate who has not acquired the essential educational qualification as on the stipulated date will not be eligible and need not apply.
- All candidates who are declared qualified in Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Computer Based Test (CBT), Skill Test will be required to produce all relevant Educational Certificates in original as proof of having acquired the minimum education qualification on or before 01/08/2024, falling which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled.
- The candidates who are able to prove by documentary evidence that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he/she has been declared passed will also be considered to have the required Educational Qualification.
- It is reiterated that the result of requisite educational qualification must have been declared by the Board/University by the specified date. Mere processing of the result by the Board/University by the crucial cut-off date does not fulfil the Educational Qualification (EQ).
Age Limit for BSF Recruitment 2024
Age Limit(as on 01/08/2024):-Age limit of candidates, who apply subject posts, will be between 18 (eighteen) to 25 (twenty five) years as on 01.08.2024. Crucial date to determine the age limit shall be in accordance with DoP&TOM No. AB-14017/70/87-Estt. (RR) dated 14.07.1988 i.e. 1st day of January of the year in which examination is held, if the competitive or written examination is conduct in the 1st half of the year and 1 day of August of the year, if competitive or written examination is conducted in the 2nd half of the year.
Pay Scale for BSF Recruitment 2024
The posts of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer/Combatant Stenographer) and Warrant Officer (Personal Assistant) are classified under Pay Level 4 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), with a corresponding Pay Matrix ranging from Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300. Similarly, Head Constable (Ministerial/Combatant Ministerial) and Havildar (Clerk) fall under Pay Level 4 as well, with a Pay Matrix ranging from Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100. These positions denote the salary structure for these roles within the respective pay levels based on the 7th CPC recommendations.
Application Fee for BSF Recruitment 2024
- Fee payable: Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only.
- Woman candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC). Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
Selection Process for BSF Recruitment 2024
- The recruitment process will consist of Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Computer Based Test (CBT), Skill Test norms on computer, Documents Verification & Medical Examination (DME/RME).
- Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Test (CBT) will be normalized and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut off mark. On the basis of performance in Computer Based Test, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in next event for Skill Test followed by DV & Medical Examination.
- BSF shall have the discretion to fix different cut-off marks in Computer Based Test taking into consideration among others, category-wise vacancies and category-wise number of candidates PST & PET are mandatory but qualifying in nature

- Applications are require to be submitted in online mode only at the official website of BSF i.e. https://rectt.bsf.gov.in. For detailed instructions, please refer of this notice. Sample proforma of One Time Registration and online application forms are attached.
- Candidates can apply for the post provided they fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions. In online application form, photograph of candidate to be uploaded should not be more than three (03) months old from the date of publication of this notice in compliance of order dated 05.03.2020 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the matter of Shantanu Kumar &OrsWP (C) No.234/2018]. failing with his/her application/candidature will be rejected/cancelled.
- Photograph should be without cap and spectacles. The frontal view of the face should be clearly visible. The application portal will be operational from 09/06/2024 (00.01 AM) to 08/07/2024 (till 23.59PM). Candidates are advised in their own interest to submit online applications much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/ inability or failure to login to the BSF website on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days.
