Qualification for BITS Pilani Recruitment 2024
• M.S./M.Sc./MTech. or equivalent degrees in Life sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Microbiology/ Bioinformatics or a related discipline with at least 60% marks.
• The project will involve experimental work along with bioinformatics work. The experimental work includes basic molecular biology techniques, real-time PCR, recombinant DNA technology, animal cell culture, microscopic imaging, etc.
• The bioinformatics work involves next-generation sequencing (NGS) experiments and data analysis, statistical analysis, etc. Someone with an inclination for computational work and knowledge of Python, R, etc., would be preferred.
• The candidate is also expected to do other lab management-related work as and when required and assist in teaching activities.
• Candidates with their own fellowships such as DST-INSPIRE, NET-JRF, DBT-JRF, or equivalent would be preferred, but not mandatory.
