BIT Mesra is recruiting for the position of Junior Research Fellow or Project Associate - I with one vacancy. For JRF, candidates need a B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing or equivalent with 60% marks and CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification.
Other than JRF, candidates need the same qualifications without CSIR-UGC NET/GATE, but with research experience. JRF's salary is Rs. 31,000 + 16% HRA (first two years) and Rs. 35,000 + 16% HRA (third year), while Project Associate - I's salary is Rs. 25,000 + 16% HRA (first two years) and Rs. 28,000 + 16% HRA (third year).

Qualification for BIT Mesra Recruitment 2024
- For JRF:B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing/ Production & Industrial/Materials/Metallurgical Engineering/Laser Technology/ Welding Technology or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute in India with minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a ten-point scale and with qualified CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship or GATE or qualified through National
- Examination of Government Departments and Agencies.
- Other than JRF (Project Associate-I):B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech.
- Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing / Production & Industrial / Materials / Metallurgical Engineering/Laser Technology/ Welding Technology or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute in India with minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a ten-point scale.
- GATE-qualified candidates will be preferred.
- Candidates with past research experience in the relevant field and a desire to pursue a PhD will be given preference

Selection Procedure for BIT Mesra Recruitment 2024
- The candidates will be shortlisted for online/offline interview based on their academic and professional background and will be intimated through email stating the date and time for interview
- The decision of the selection committee will be final.
- The appointment of the candidate will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Institute/funding agency particularly applicable to the said project as and when required.
- The position is purely temporary in nature and subject to the availability of funds.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
