BIRD (Bankers Institute of Rural Development) is recruiting for the position of Research Officer in Lucknow. The candidates must hold a post-graduation degree from a recognized university or research institute, preferably in the field of economics, development studies, statistics, or data science. Ph.D./M.Phil or equivalent qualifications are desirable.
Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of hands-on experience in conducting research studies in relevant fields and should possess working knowledge of data analysis tools or programming languages. Qualification for BIRD Recruitment 2024
- Mandatory: Post-graduation degree from a recognized university / Research Institute.
- Desirable: Post-graduation degree in the field of economics / development studies / statistics / data- science. Ph.D./M.Phil or equivalent in the relevant subject.
- Candidate should have at least two years of hands-on experience in conducting research studies in the field of economics / microfinance/development studies.
- Research scholar with published work of high quality in reputed journals and referred conference. Working knowledge of data analysis tool or programming language
Pay Scale for BIRD Recruitment 2024
- Indicative Gross Emoluments (All Inclusive) (Max.): Rs 1,00,000/- per month. The final authority to decide the exact monthly emoluments (all inclusive) rests with BIRD, Lucknow only.
- The monthly emoluments shall be decided by BIRD, Lucknow keeping in view the merits of the candidate, educational qualifications, additional educational qualifications, relevant experience, last drawn pay, suitability etc.
Place of Posting for BIRD Recruitment 2024
- Place of Work: Centre for Research on Financial Inclusion and Microfinance (CRFIM) at Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD).
- The Research Office (RO) will be required to work under the Administrative control of Director, BIRD. As job is purely on contractual basis for a specified term, the Research Office (RO) shall have no right or claim for regular employment in BIRD.

The upper age limit for the BIRD Recruitment 2024 is 45 years as of March 31, 2024. This means that candidates applying for positions at BIRD must ensure that they are within this age limit at the specified date.
