Qualifications Details for BIRAC Recruitment 2024
- MSc / M Tech in life sciences/ Bio Technology/Pharma/ Agri / Plant sciences from a recognized and reputed institute.
- Registered Indian Patent Agent.
- PhD in life sciences/ Bio Technology/ Pharma/ Agri/ Plant sciences
- Degree in Law or Diploma/Degree in Intellectual Property from a recognized and reputed institute.

BIRAC is currently seeking applications from qualified, experienced, and ambitious professionals for the position of Associate Consultant - IP, with one vacancy available. The maximum age for applicants is 45 years as of the closing date of the vacancy.
Pay Scale for BIRAC Recruitment 2024
BIRAC is offering a consolidated fee of Rs. 75,000 per month for the position of Associate Consultant, with one vacancy available. The engagement is initially contractual for one year, subject to extension based on performance and organizational priorities. Applicants must be under 45 years of age to be eligible for the position.
Key Responsibilities for BIRAC Recruitment 2024
- Conduct IP searches and Analysis - patentability/FTO/ Patent Landscape by using IP search tools/databases and scientific information resources, including sequence and chemical structure searching.
- Working knowledge of Patent searches, analysis & technology mapping.
- Carry out aspects of IP Management including examination and drafting and coordination with empaneled Law Firms for patent drafting and prosecution of patent applications at different jurisdiction
- Render services for implementation of BIRAC’s PATH (Patenting & Technology Transfer for Harnessing Innovations) Scheme.
- Assist in referred matters related to protection of plant varieties, written representations before the IPO, Appellate Board in India, miscellaneous actions under the relevant act and any other proceeding in India
- Provide opinion / advice on any other matters related to IP
- Undertake any other tasks in furtherance to the fulfilment of her responsibilities
- Protect the secrecy of and avoid disclosure and unauthorized use of the Confidential Information in any forum which includes formal and informal discussion/lectures/publications etc.
