Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is structured into six institutes, 14 faculties encompassing various streams, and approximately 140 departments. As of 2020, the university's total student enrollment stands at 30,698, with students hailing from 48 different countries. BHU offers accommodation in over 65 hostels for resident students.

3. Qualification:

• Executive Engineer: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute/ University OR passed in first class Section A & B Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India). First Class Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute/ University OR passed in first class Section A & B Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
• System Engineer: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science & Engg./Electronics Engg,/M.Sc. Computer Science/MCA with seven years experience. OR Master Degree in Engg./Technology in Computer Science & Engg/Electronics Engg. with five years experience. Experience should be at appropriate level in industry / University level Computer Centre in the areas of Servers configuration, storage systems, backup systems, Linux/Unix Software Engg, Design and Validation, Databases, Computer Networks
• Junior Maintenance Engineer/ Networking Engineer: B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering
• Deputy Librarian: A Master‘s Degree in library science/information science / documentation science, with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point –scale, wherever grading system is followed.
• Assistant Librarian: A Master‘s Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point –scale, wherever the grading system is followed)
• Chief Nursing Officer: M.Sc. (Nursing) with a minimum experience of 18 years of which 5 years in teaching & administration in a recognized Nursing college and 5 years in Clinical management experience in a minimum 500 bedded recognized hospital.
• Nursing Superintendent: M.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized Nursing College with a minimum experience of 15 years from a recognized College/Hospital (minimum 500 beds), of which, minimum 03 years should be in Clinical management/teaching experience. OR B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized Nursing College with a minimum experience of 18 years from a recognized College/Hospital (minimum 500 beds), of which, minimum 03 years should be in Clinical management/teaching experience
• Medical Officer: MBBS with minimum 02 years of clinical experience (after completion of mandatory internship)
• Nursing Officer: B.Sc. (Hons.) in (Nursing)/ Regular course in B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University or Institute. OR Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) from recognized University or Institute.

• AL-13A: 1,31,400 (1,31,400-2,17,100)
• L-12: 78,800 (78,800-2,09,200)
• L-11: 67,700 (67,700-2,08,700)
• AL-10: 57,700 (57,700-1,82,400)
• L- 10: 56,100 (56,100-1,77,500)
• L-7: 44900 (44900-1,42,400)
