Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is inviting applications for the Raja Jwala Prasad Post-Doctoral Fellowship (RJP-PDF) under the Institution of Eminence (IoE) Scheme. The fellowship offers a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000 along with HRA of Rs. 10,000 and a contingency amount of Rs. 50,000 per annum.
Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Botany, Microbiology, Life Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biosciences, Plant Science, or related fields from an Indian university/institute with NIRF ranking of up to 20 or from abroad. Candidates should have a proven track record with at least two publications in Q1 or Q2 journals or SCOPUS/Web of Science listed journals. The upper age limit is 45 years with relaxation for female, SC, ST, and physically handicapped candidates

Qualification for BHU Recruitment 2024
- The candidates should have PhD degree (Botany/ Microbiology/ Life Science/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Biosciences/ Plant Science or any related field) from Indian University/Institutes with NIRF ranking of upto 20 (overall or in respective areas) or those who have done PhD from abroad will be eligible.
- The candidates must have proven track record with published work at least two papers in QI or Q2 journals or SCOPUS/Web of Science listed journals.
- Desirable qualification: Candidates with research experience in the field of Plant Microbiology. Plant Pathology. Bacterial endophytes and their Microscopy, Bioinformatics. Metagenome and Whole genome sequencing analysis with evidence of original research publications will be preferred.
Pay Scale for BHU Recruitment 2024
Fellowship amount of Rs. 60.000/-pm and HRA of Rs. 10.000/- per month, sanctioned under Institution of Eminence (loE) Scheme of BHU for the duration of one year. In addition, a contingency amount of Rs. 50,000/- per annum will be provided. Fellows will also have access to comprehensive benefits. including health services, library and access to other resources, as per BHU rules.
Age Limit for BHU Recruitment 2024
For BHU Recruitment 2024, the upper age limit is 45 years, with a relaxation of 5 years for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Candidates. In cases where all other qualifications are equal, SC/ST candidates will be given preference as per Government of India rules.
