"The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has announced vacancies for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Geology, Applied Geology, Earth Sciences, or related areas from Indian universities/institutes with NIRF ranking up to 20 or Ph.D. from abroad are eligible to apply.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in hydrogeology, isotope hydrology, watershed management, and proficiency in GIS and remote sensing. The fellowship includes a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000 plus HRA, along with a contingency grant. Applicants should be under 45 years of age, with relaxations for female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates.

BHU Recruitment 2024 Qualifications
- The candidates who have done their Ph.D. in Geology/Applied Geology/Earth Sciences and related areas from the Indian Universities/Institute with NIRF ranking of up to 20 (overall or in the respective area) or those who have done Ph.D. abroad will be eligible.
- The candidate should have a basic knowledge of Geology and a strong motivation in the field of hydrogeology/Isotope hydrology/watershed management.
- Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience in isotope and hydrogeochemical modeling, and application of GIS and remote sensing.
BHU Recruitment 2024 Salary
- BHU, applications are invited for one post of Raja Jwala Prasad Post-Doctoral Fellow with a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 60,000/- per month + HRA (Rs. 10,000/- per month) and a contingency of Rs. 50,000/- per year in an IoE BHU Sponsored fellowship sanctioned up to 12 months from the date of joining of the Fellow.
