Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), India’s renowned engineering and manufacturing enterprise since 1964, announces vacancies for the post of Contractual Medical Practitioner (CMP) at its Occupational Health Centre (OHC) in Bangalore. The position is for a General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) on a fixed tenure basis for an initial period of two years, extendable based on performance and requirement.
Applicants must hold an MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India and be registered with either the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council. The upper age limit for candidates is 45 years. Relaxations in age limit are provided for candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories as per government rules.
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 95,000 along with reimbursement of premium paid for a Mediclaim Policy. The selection process involves a walk-in interview scheduled for May 6, 2024, at the Kapila Conference Hall, BHEL EDN, Bengaluru. Interview dates may extend to the following day if necessary.

Qualifications Details for BHEL Recruitment 2024
Candidates must possess an MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India and be registered with either the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council to qualify for the position. This requirement ensures compliance with medical standards and regulations. The MBBS degree and registration demonstrate the candidate's eligibility and proficiency in medical practice. Fulfilling these criteria is essential for consideration in the selection process.
Age Limit for BHEL Recruitment 2024
The upper age limit can be extended by 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy layer) candidates and by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. OBC candidates not belonging to the Non-Creamy layer should indicate their category as General only, as per the latest amendment in income criteria notified by DOPT OM No.36033/1/2013-Estt. (Res) dated 13.09.2017. The maximum age limit for all applicants is 45 years.
Pay Scale for BHEL Recruitment 2024
The selected candidates will be paid an all-inclusive monthly consolidated remuneration of Rs. 95,000/- (Rupees Ninety-Five thousand only) per month for the position of Contractual Medical Practitioner (GDMO). Reimbursement of premium paid for Mediclaim Policy upto Rs. 2 lakhs for Self, Spouse, 2 dependent children of Family, will be admissible
Selection Process for BHEL Recruitment 2024
- Candidates should be of sound health. On selection, their engagement will be subject to medical examination by Company’s Doctor/Authorised Medical Practitioners as per BHEL Medical Attendance Rules.
- The candidature of applicants at all stages of selection process will be provisional and is subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions
