Applications are being sought for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB CORE Project titled "Development of artificial neural network based predictive model for D-region ionosphere change due to solar flares" with a fixed stipend of Rs. 31,000 per month plus HRA in accordance with SERB norms. The position is temporary and will conclude with the project on 19th June 2026.
Candidates must hold an M.Sc./M.Tech degree in Physics, Space Physics, Atmospheric Science, or related fields with at least 55% marks for GN/OBC (50% for SC/ST/PH) from a recognized University/Institute, along with valid CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE qualifications. Desirable qualifications include prior research experience in Space weather and proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, MATLAB, and Python. The upper age limit is 28 years, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates.
The appointment will initially be on a contract basis for one year, extendable based on yearly performance evaluations until the project's completion. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates as per GOI rules. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email about the interview date, and no TA/DA will be provided for the interview.

Qualifications Details for BBAU Recruitment 2024
- M.Sc./M.Tech in Physics/Space Physics/Atmospheric Science, or related fields or related sciences with at least 55% marks for GN/OBC (50% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC recognized University/Institutes with valid CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE qualifications.
- Candidates having research experience in the field of Space weather and scientific programming in C. C++. MATLAB. PYTHON. etc.
Age Limit for BBAU Recruitment 2024
The upper age limit for applicants is 28 years, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates.
