Bank of Maharashtra, a prominent public sector bank with its Head Office in Pune and a network of over 2,270 branches, is inviting offline applications for the position of Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) on a contract basis. Qualification for Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2024
- Mandatory Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from an institute or university recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
- Desirable Qualification: A Postgraduate degree or professional certification in Finance, Risk Management, Legal, or related fields. Preference will be given to candidates with additional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, CS, CFA, MBA, LLB, or equivalent from a recognized university or institution. A Diploma or Degree in Compliance and Ethics or its equivalent is also desirable.
- Experience: The candidate must have at least 15 years of overall experience in banking or financial services, with a minimum of 5 years in Audit, Finance, Compliance, Legal, or Risk Management functions. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of the industry, risk management, regulations, legal framework, and be attuned to supervisors' expectations.
Pay Scale for Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2024
- The remuneration for the position will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and overall suitability for the role during negotiations.
- Compensation will be offered on a Cost to Company (CTC) basis and will not be a limiting factor for the right candidate.
- The contract employee will be responsible for their own tax liabilities as per the Income Tax Act and applicable rules, with tax being deducted at source.
- The total compensation package, as CTC, will include any statutory payments that the bank may need to make on behalf of the contract employee.
Place of Posting for Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2024
The position / place of posting of candidate will ordinarily be at Head Office, Pune. He / She will be required to visit various zones as per bank's requirement

Selection Procedure for Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2024
- Screening of Application, Shortlisting for Interview / discussions, Interview discussion process, CTC Negotiation.
- Selection will be based on a personal interview or discussion.
- The Bank may conduct a preliminary screening of applications to shortlist candidates based on qualifications, experience, and suitability.
