Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is currently inviting applications for the position of a Post-Doctoral Fellow, with one vacancy available. This prestigious fellowship offers a monthly salary of Rs. 60,000 plus a House Rent Allowance (HRA) of Rs. 10,000 and an additional annual contingency of Rs. 50,000. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Zoology, Biotechnology, Molecular and Human Genetics, or equivalent fields from an Indian University/Institute within the top 20 NIRF rankings, or from a foreign university.
Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in Neurogenetic Disorders or Cancer Biology, and a strong track record including at least two publications in Q1 or Q2 journals or those listed in Scopus/Web of Science. The upper age limit is 45 years, with age relaxation applicable for female, SC/ST, and Physically Handicapped candidates.
Interested candidates must submit a hard copy of their application with complete bio-data and supporting documents to Professor Parimal Das at the Centre for Genetic Disorders, BHU, within 21 days from the advertisement's publication date. Additionally, a soft copy must be emailed to [email protected]. The last date for submission falls on May 01, 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email for an interview, for which no TA/DA will be provided.

Banaras Hindu University Recruitment 2024 Qualifications
- Research scholars who have done their Ph.D. in a field related to Life science/Zoology/Biotechnology/Molecular and Human Genetics or equivalent from an Indian University/Institute with NIRF ranking of up to 20 (overall or in respective areas) or those who have done PhD from abroad will be eligible.
- The candidates must have a proven track record with published work of at least two papers in Q1 or Q2 journals or Scopus/Web of Science listed journals.
- Candidates with research experience in Neurogenetic Disorders/Cancer Biology will be preferable.
