Qualifications Details for Assam PSC Recruitment 2024
- The candidate must have a Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any technical institute recognized by the Government.
- The Diploma must be a Regular course. Diploma courses obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
- Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council
- The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- As a domicile proof of the candidate, he/she must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.
Age Limit for Assam PSC Recruitment 2024
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and no more than 38 years old as of January 1, 2024. The upper age limit is relaxable as follows:
- By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, up to 43 years.
- By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, up to 41 years, as per Government Notification No. ABP.6/2016/9 dated April 25, 2018.
- By 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), regardless of SC/ST/OBC or UR category, as per Government Memorandum No. ABP.180/2017/105 dated January 7, 2019.
- By 12 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates, up to 50 years, regardless of UR category, as per Government Notification No. ABP.48/2009/84 dated December 19, 2022.
- By 15 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates, up to 53 years, regardless of OBC or MOBC category, as per Government Notification No. ABP.48/2009/84 dated December 19, 2022.
- By 17 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates, up to 55 years, regardless of SC or ST category, as per Government Notification No. ABP.48/2009/84 dated December 19, 2022

Scale of Pay: The pay scale, including grade pay and other allowances, will be as per the regulations for Assam State Government employees and may vary from time to time. The details are as follows:
