APSC Recruitment 2024 Notification Out for 80 Junior Engineer, Check Eligibility at apsc.nic.in
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced the recruitment of 80 Junior Engineers (Mechanical) under the joint cadre of Public Works Roads Department and Public Works (Bldg. & NH) Department. Candidates must possess a three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized technical institute.

Position, Vacancy for APSC Recruitment 2024
Assam Public Service Commission invites application from Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for the under-mentioned posts under Assam Government in the scale of pay as indicated below and carrying usual allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt of Assam
- Post Name: Junior Engineer (Mechanical) under joint cadre of Public Works Roads Department and Public Works (Bldg. & NH) Department.
- No of Posts: 80 (Eighty)
Qualification for APSC Recruitment 2024
- The candidate must have a Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any technical institute recognized by the Government.
- The Diploma must be a Regular course.
- Diploma courses obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
- Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council
- The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- As a domicile proof of the candidate, he/she must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.
Pay Scale for APSC Recruitment 2024
- Pay scale + Grade Pay + Other allowances as admissible to the Assam State Government employees from time to time (per month).
- Pay scale: Rs. 14,000/- to 60,500/-
- Grade Pay: Rs. 8,700/-
- Pay Band: Pay Band - 2
Age Limit for APSC Recruitment 2024
- The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2024.
- The upper age limit is relaxable: By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years. By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP.6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.
- For Persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR Category of candidates as per Govt. Memorandum No. ABP.180/2017/105 dated Dispur the 7th January, 2019.
- 12 (twelve) years for Ex-Servicemen candidates i.e. upto 50 years irrespective of Un-reserved candidates as per Govt. Notification No.ABP.48/2009/84, dated Dispur the 19th December, 2022
- 15 (fifteen) years for Ex-Servicemen candidates i.e. upto 53 years irrespective of OBC or MOBC candidates as per Govt. Notification No.ABP.48/2009/84, dated Dispur the 19th December, 2022.
- 17 (seventeen) years for Ex-Servicemen candidates i.e. upto 55 years irrespective of SC or ST candidates as per Govt. Notification No. ABP.48/2009/84, dated Dispur the 19th December, 2022.

- To avail application fees relaxation prescribed for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/BPL, candidates must produce certificate of the claimed category issued by competent authority.
- Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected.
- No representation against such rejection would be entertained.
- Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fees be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
Selection Procedure for APSC Recruitment 2024
- The selection procedure will be notified later on followed by issuing corrigendum/ addendum, if required.
- The Commission will decide the provision for selection in respect of any post/posts or service/ services considering the status, cadre and grade or the number of applications received for the advertised post/posts or service/ services.
- The Commission will also decide to conduct examination/test etc. zone wise, depending upon the numbers of candidates against the districts

- Applicants are required to apply online through APSC's recruitment website.
- No other means/mode of application will be accepted and the Application will be summarily rejected.
- Applicants who have not registered yet, in Online Recruitment Portal of APSC are first required to go to the APSC's recruitment website https://apscrecruitment.in and register themselves by clicking on 'Register Here' link and complete the One Time Registration(OTR) process by providing basic details.
- The applicants are advised to submit only single Online Recruitment Application for each post;
- however, if somehow, if he/she submits multiple Online Recruitment Applications for one post, then he/she must ensure that Online Recruitment Application with the higher "Application Number" is complete in all respects including fee.
- Fee paid against one "Application Number" shall not be adjusted against any other "Application Number".
- After submitting the Online Application, the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application and retain the hardcopy of the Online Application Form.
