Oil India Limited (OIL) was incorporated in 1959 under Indian Companies Act 1956 as a partnership venture between Government of India and Burmah Oil Company with the objective to manage oil fields in Assam.
The Company became a Central Public Sector Enterprises in 1981. Over the years, the operations of the Company have extended to various areas in India and abroad. It is a Schedule-"A" /Maharatna CPSE with the administrative jurisdiction of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The company employed 6759 regular employees (Executive-1772 and Non-excecutive- 4987) as on March 31, 2023.
Oil India Limited Recruitment 2024 Qualifications
- The applicant should be a Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant or a full time MBA/PGDM course having specialization in Finance with good academic record from a recognized University/Institution. Preference would be given to Chartered Accountant.
- Officers of Organized Group ‘A’ Accounts Services [i.e. Indian Audit and Accounts Service, Indian Defence Accounts Service, Indian Railway Accounts Service, Indian Civil Accounts Service, Indian P&T Accounts & Finance Service and Indian Cost Accounts Service] working in the appropriate level are exempted from these educational qualifications.
- Further, applicants from the Central Govt./Armed Forces of the Union/All India Services, will also be exempted from the educational qualifications

- Age of superannuation 60 years
- Internal: Minimum, 45, Maximum, 2 years residual service as on the date of vacancy w.r.t. the date of superannuation.
- Others: Minimum, 45, Maximum, 3 years residual service as on the date of vacancy w.r.t. the date of superannuation.
