Position, Vacancy for APMSRB Recruitment 2024
Recruiting for Assistant Professor roles in both Broad and Super Specialties through Direct Recruitment and Lateral Entry methods, covering Regular and Limited Recruitment.
Total Vacancies: 488
This number includes both backlog and regular positions. Please note that the number of vacancies is tentative and may vary.
Qualification for APMSRB Recruitment 2024
- For the position of Assistant Professor in Broad Specialties, including both Clinical and Non-Clinical areas, candidates must possess a PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB/DM) in the relevant specialty from institutions recognized by MCI/NMC/DCI.
- For the role of Assistant Professor in Super Specialties, a PG Degree (DNB/DM/MCH) in the concerned Super Specialty from institutions recognized by MCI/NMC is required.
Pay Scale for APMSRB Recruitment 2024
Salaries will be provided according to the prevailing rules during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probation period, the 7th UGC Pay scales (as per G.O.Ms.No.22, HM & FW (A1) Dept., dated 01.03.2021) will apply. Additionally, a Super Specialty allowance of Rs.30,000/- will be given on top of the salary.
Age Limit for APMSRB Recruitment 2024
i. OC candidates must not be older than 42 years as of the date of the Notification (i.e., must not have been born before July 1, 1982).
ii. EWS/SC/ST/BC candidates must not be older than 47 years as of the date of the Notification (i.e., must not have been born before July 1, 1977).
iii. Physically Handicapped candidates must not be older than 52 years as of the date of the Notification (i.e., must not have been born before July 1, 1972).
iv. Ex-servicemen must not be older than 50 years as of the date of the Notification (i.e., must not have been born before July 1, 1974).
Application Fee for APMSRB Recruitment 2024
The candidates shall have to pay the application fee of Rs.1000/- for OC and Rs.500 /- for BC, SC, EWS, ST and PH candidates through payment gateway which was provided in the application module.
Selection Procedure for APMSRB Recruitment 2024
- Selection Criteria: Selection will be based on merit and the rule of reservation.
- Merit List: A merit list will be prepared for all candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.
- Selection Lists: Final selection lists will be based on the merit lists and the rule of reservation as per AP State and Subordinate Services guidelines.
- Total Marks: The total score is 100 marks.
- Degree Marks: 75 marks will be awarded based on the marks/grade obtained in the qualifying degree. If PG marks or grade are not available, a default of 50% will be considered (50% of 75 = 37.50).
- Experience Weightage: 10 marks will be given based on the number of years since passing the qualifying examination, with up to 10 marks awarded at a rate of 1 mark per year of PG/Super-specialty completion.
- Central Institution Weightage: 5 marks will be awarded to candidates who have completed their PG/Super Specialty from Central Institutions.
- Contract Service Weightage: 15 marks will be given for contract service rendered in Government institutions.
- Merit list will be prepared based on the rank given by the respective appointing authority at the time of recruitment as CAS / Assistant professor.
- Selection list will be prepared based on merit and the rule of reservation applicable to the promotions as per AP state and subordinate service rules
