AIIMS Bhubaneswar has announced recruitment for the position of Research Scientist-C, with one vacancy available. The salary offered is Rs. 67,000 per month plus applicable HRA. Candidates must be under 40 years of age and possess specific qualifications: either a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with one year of R&D/teaching experience or a postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with two years of R&D/teaching experience.
Alternatively, an MBBS degree with four years of R&D/teaching experience after graduation is also acceptable. Additional postdoctoral research or training experience in viral outbreak diagnosis is preferred. Responsibilities include real-time assessment and coordination in case of viral outbreaks in Odisha, ensuring proper sample collection, conducting diagnostics, and participating in research projects. Qualification For AIIMS Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2024
- Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with one-year R&D/teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with two years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university
- MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 4 (four) years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after MBBS Degree
- Additional Post doctoral research / training experience in viral outbreak diagnosis as evidenced by scientific publication.
- Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools Data Management.
Job Description For AIIMS Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2024
- Real time assessment of any viral outbreak if occur in Odisha
- Job Coordination with state health personal in control measurement ofany viral outbreak.
- Ensuring the proper sample collection and its transportation by health workers in case of laboratory investigation of any viral outbreak in Odisha
- Routine diagnosis of all viral infections whose facilities areavailable in VRDL.
- Conducting trainings and workshops for Medical colleges of Odisha
- Participating in research projects sanctioned.
- Writing new research projects and working on it. 8. Completion of any other work assigned by PI and Co- PI for smooth functioning of VRDL.
Terms and conditions For AIIMS Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2024
- All the above mentioned vacancies are for fixed tenure of one year (12 months) can however be extendedto a maximum of five years depending on the candidates performance and budget grant from the fundingagency.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Interested candidates may appear for walk in interview. Candidates should bring duly filled application form (As per the prescribed Performa) and all original certificates of educational qualifications, copies of research publication and experience certificate if having along with a photo and set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates at the time of interview.
- Age Relaxation Relax able up to 5 years for Government Servants and for SC/ST/OBC candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard. Age relaxation may be given to candidates having working experience in ICMR or any other govt. funded projects.

- The duly filled application form along with certificate copies should be sent either through speed post/ registered post to Dr. Baijayantimala Mishra, PI, State Level VRDL, Department of Microbiology, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Pin Code 751019 on or before 10th July 2024 by 05.00 PM.
- The application envelope should be super scribed as "Application for the post of..................In State Level VRDL, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar."
- The interested candidates must send the soft copy of relevant documents (duly- filled application form (as per prescribed Performa), Updated curriculum Vitae (CV), copies of certificates/documents in support of fulfilling the essential criteria of age, educational qualification, research experiences etc. besides others in support of their candidature by email: [email protected]
