AIESL invites eligible Indian nationals for Walk-in Interview at Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai for engagement as Aircraft Technician (B1) (Maintenance/Overhaul/Engine/ Airframe), (B2) (Avionics) on fixed term contract basis (extendable up to 58 years of age) for FIVE years in Southern Region. Vacancies are tentative and may increase/decrease and engaging of candidates from shortlisted panels would depend upon the requirement of AIESL.

Qualification for AIESL Recruitment 2024

AME Diploma/Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering:

  • Duration: 02 or 03 years
  • Stream: Mechanical
  • Approval: Training Institutions approved by DGCA
  • Minimum Marks: 60% marks/equivalent grade (55% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC candidates)

Diploma in Engineering:

  • Duration: 3 years
  • Stream: Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent
  • Recognition: Recognized by Central/State Government
  • Minimum Marks: 60% marks/equivalent grade (55% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC candidates)

For Ex-servicemen, the eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Successful completion of Group I and/or II or 4 years course/Diploma or equivalent qualification of Diploma in Engineering in Airframe/Engine trades conducted by the Indian Air Force/Navy/Army.

  • The qualification obtained should be acceptable as per DGCA's CAR 66 criteria.

Candidates must have a minimum one year aviation experience. Or

Successful completion of national apprenticeship with hands-on working in the aviation industry.(Minimum one year duration).

Aviation experience in carrying out preflight checks, snag rectification, component replacements and repairs in engine and airframe systems will be given preference.

For Ex-servicemen, the eligibility criteria are similar:

Salary for AIESL Recruitment 2024

  • Emoluments for the position will be a minimum of Rs. 27,940/- at the time of joining. However, the actual salary will be commensurate with the company's policy.
  • Increments will also be applicable as per the company's policy after joining AIESL (Air India Engineering Services Limited).

Selection Procedure for AIESL Recruitment 2024

  • Selection will be through the process of Preliminary screening, Technical Assessment and Interview in two stages.
  • Those qualifying in 1st stage at Bengaluru/Chennai/Hyderabad for Aircraft Technician (B1/B2) vacancies will again be required to attend 2nd stage at Hyderabad.
  • * In case of reporting of a large number of candidates, the selection process may spread over successive day(s).
  • Candidates are advised to take a note of this as they may have to stay back at their own cost and arrangements.
  • Management may also decide to call the candidates later, if necessary

General Conditions for AIESL Recruitment 2024

  • Management reserves all right to take any decision with regard to conduct of this exercise including interpretation of eligibility, deferment/cancellation of this exercise and/or delete/alter any of the conditions of this exercise, if necessary.
  • The candidates may initially be positioned at any station for training and to obtain sufficient experience to meet the requirement of the Company.
  • The selected candidates after training and/or experience can be posted at any station in the southern region, based on the requirements of the Company.
  • The job is also transferable to any station in India, based on Company’s requirement
  • Selection and empanelment does not guarantee that the candidate will be appointed.
  • Release of candidates for appointment from the select list would depend upon the decision of the Company and its business requirements at the material point of time, which decision would be final and binding.
  • The contract may be terminated at the discretion of the Management during the tenure of the contract and / or in the event of unsatisfactory performance.
  • The contract is extendable for a further term of 5 years each depending upon satisfactory performance of the candidate and requirement of the company.
  • Candidates engaged on fixed-terms contract basis will be entitled for Provident Fund, Gratuity, and other welfare benefits as per policy of the company.
  • The candidates will have to make their own arrangement for housing accommodation at the place of posting.
  • The Company, at its discretion, may assign additional duties, as and when required.
  • SC/ST candidates who reporting for Walk In Interview/Test and residing beyond 80 Km from the venue of the Walk-in/Test and not employed in any Government, SemiGovernment/Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Bodies, will be reimbursed second class to & fro rail/ bus fare by the shortest route as per rules, on production of document of travel.
  • Candidates are also advised to submit self-account cancelled cheque / copy of self account cheque along with fare reimbursement form.
  • Candidates offered appointments have to complete a pre-employment medical checkup at their own cost.
  • Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the laid down procedure eligibility criteria, prescribed for the post before reporting for Walk-in Interview.
  • At any stage, if it is found that the particulars furnished by the candidate in the Application Form or testimonials are incorrect/false or the candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria prescribed for the post, or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her application shall be summarily rejected without making any further reference.
  • Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidate or bringing in any outside influence with regard to further the selection of the candidate shall be considered as a Disqualification.

Instructions of Walk-In Interview for AIESL Recruitment 2024

  • A recent (not more than three months old) colored passport-size photograph of the full face (front view) should be pasted neatly in the space provided in the Application Form. b) Candidates belonging to OBC categories, at the time of walk-in interview, must submit a self–attested photocopy of the Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, recently issued by the Competent Authority in the format as prescribed by Govt. of India.
  • The Certificate, inter alia, must specifically state that the candidate does not belong to socially advanced sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBC in civil posts and services under the Government of India.
  • The Certificate should also contain the “Non-Creamy Layer” Clause.
  • The Certificate produced by the candidates of OBC community should be as per the Central List published by the Government of India and not as per the State Lists.
  • The applicant should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria as on 01.04.2024.
  • Other particulars furnished should be correct in all respects. At any stage of the selection process, if the particulars provided by the candidates in the application or testimonials supplied are found incorrect/false, or not meeting with the eligibility requirements prescribed for the posts, the candidature is liable to be rejected and, if engaged, services terminated, without giving any notice or reasons therefore. d) Self-attested clear copies of the supportive documents in respect of educational qualification, relevant trade in the industry, experience etc. must be submitted along with the Application.
  • Self –attested photocopy of the Caste Certificate should also be attached with the application, in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates and income and assets certificate issued by competent authority for EWS candidates.
  • Original certificates are required to be brought, at the time of Walk-In Interview, for verification purpose only, and original certificates should not be submitted/attached along with the Application.
  • The Company is not responsible for returning any original copies of certificates/testimonials if submitted with the application.
  • Applicants working in Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector Undertakings or autonomous bodies must bring ' ‘No Objection Certificate” specifying the post and AIESL company name in NOC, from their present employer.

Walk-In Interview Details for AIESL Recruitment 2024

  • Interested candidates meeting the above eligibility criteria, as on 01.04.2024 may attend the Walk-in Interview at any one location - Hyderabad or Bengaluru or Chennai, with necessary documents and non-refundable processing fee (DD).
  • Those eligible and applying for more than one post have to fill separate applications along with separate DD.
  • Candidates have to bring following original documents on the day of Walk-in along with a set of self attested copies:
  • All original qualification (Education & Technical) certificates as per eligibility criteria.
  • All original experience certificates.
  • Proof for Date of Birth.
  • Proof for Permanent and Present Address.
  • Recent Passport Size photographs. ID Proof (PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Passport etc.)
  • Service Discharge Book (Only for Ex-Servicemen)
