Qualification for AFMC Recruitment 2024
Essential Qualifications
PhD in Population Studies or Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University/Institute and must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET/ GATE/GPAT/ICMR-JRF, etc., or any other national eligibility test.
Desirable QR
(a) The applicant should have experience of working in such National Projects in the past.
(b) The applicant should be willing to work both at AFMC, Pune and the Satellite node at Nandurbar based on the requirements of the project.
(c) Researcher to understand the dynamics and spatial aspects of population, challenges, and to explore the possible solutions to the existing problems in Sickle Cell Disease.
(d) Willing to indulge in door-to-door community work as part of the project including demographic details collections, sample collection, follow up of patients and pursuing their management.
Pay Scale for AFMC Recruitment 2024
- For the first year, ₹90,000 including HRA, and all allowances, for UGC/CSIR NET or GATE qualified candidate as per the Nandurbar Distt letter no: DPC/O/2024/Evaluation and Monitoring/ 264 dt 18 March 2024. Any extension of the contract beyond one year ₹99,000 including HRA.
- 70,000/- including HRA for candidates who do not fall under the above category.

- Place of Work: Both at AFMC Satellite Node, Nandurbar District HQ and Dept of Internal Medicine, AFMC, Pune.
Age Limit for AFMC Recruitment 2024
The upper age limit is 35 Years (the upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, physically handicapped (PH), and female candidates, three years in the case of OBC category).
Selection Procedure for AFMC Recruitment 2024
- The Application received will be scrutinized by the selection committee.
- The list of eligible candidate will be displayed on the College website. The candidates are advised to check the College website,www.afmc.in, for the date, time, and venue of the written test (if required) and interview.
- Eligible candidates will be notified by Email and SMS
- The final selection is based on Interview.
- Shortlisted candidates will attend an Interview at the Dept of Internal Medicine, Pune, AFMC. If the number of applicants exceeds 30, a written test will be conducted.
- No TA/DA or other compensation will be provided for attending the interview.
