- Doctoral Degree in Wildlife Science/Botany/Zoology/Forestry/Life Science/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized University.
- Master’s Degree in Wildlife Science/Botany/Zoology/Forestry/Life Science/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized University. or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent
- Doctoral Degree in Wildlife Science/Botany/Zoology/Forestry/Life Science/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized University (For PS – I) or Master’s Degree in Wildlife Science/Botany/Zoology/Forestry/Life Science/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized University AND Eight (08) Years experience (For PPA) or Doctoral Degree in Wildlife Science/Botany/Zoology/Forestry/Life Science/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized University. Age Limit for WII Recruitment 2024
The age limit for the position is 35-50 years. However, relaxation in the upper age limit will be granted in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel & Training) OM No. 15012/2/2010-Estt. (D) dated 27.03.2012, as amended from time to time. Specifically, the relaxation categories are as follows: up to 5 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and up to 3 years for Other Backward Classes (OBC).

However, category candidate(s) belongs to SC/ST/OBC/EWS (Non-General Category) and Physically Challenged (PC) are exempted from the said Application Fee but shall have to pay Rs.100/- as ‘Application Processing’ Fee and, the same shall be payable through online/electronic mode
Selection Process for WII Recruitment 2024
Candidates will be evaluated based on the following criteria, each worth 10 marks: passing UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET or GATE, percentage of marks obtained in Post Graduation/Bachelors (as per the essential qualifications of the advertised post), relevance of specialization in Post Graduation/Bachelors (as per the essential qualifications of the advertised post), research/work experience, and publications, conference participation, and extracurricular activities. The total marks obtainable are 50.
