The Physics Department at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a CSIR-ASPIRE project titled "Modelling and simulation of plasma-catalytic processes for energy and environmental applications."
The project tenure is three years, and the selected candidate will be responsible for various research activities outlined in the job description, including literature review, report writing, and experimental work. Candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Physics with a minimum of first class, along with passing the NET-LS/GATE/CSIR-UGC JRF examination. The fellowship for the first two years is Rs. 37,000/- per month, and Rs. 42,000/- per month for the third year.
The position is purely temporary, with initial appointment for six months extendable up to three years based on performance. Qualifications Details for VNIT Nagpur Recruitment 2024
- The position available is for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF), with one vacancy. Candidates must possess an M.Sc. in Physics from recognized universities/institutes, achieving at least a first-class distinction. Additionally, they should have successfully passed the NET-LS/GATE/CSIR-UGC JRF examination.
- The candidate from relevant background will be preferred.

The age limit for applicants is 28 years. However, there is a relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women, and physically handicapped candidates.
Pay Scale for VNIT Nagpur Recruitment 2024
