VITEEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Key Requirements for B.Tech Admission
To apply for the B.Tech program at VIT, candidates must secure a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in their qualifying exam (+2/Intermediate). Students currently appearing for their qualifying exam are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the eligibility requirements at the time of admission.
The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has released the VITEEE 2025 eligibility criteria alongside the official notification. VITEEE 2025 Subject Eligibility Criteria
Candidates opting for Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English, and Aptitude are eligible for all B.Tech programs. However, students selecting Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Aptitude are only eligible for the following biostream programs:
- B.Tech Bio-engineering (VIT, Bhopal).
- B.Tech Biotechnology (VIT, Vellore).
- B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering with Specialization in Bioinformatics (VIT, Vellore).
- B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (Specialization in Health Informatics) (VIT, Bhopal).
- B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering with Specialization in Biomedical Engineering (VIT, Vellore).
VITEEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria for NRI and Foreign Candidates
NRI Candidates
- Must have English as one of the subjects in the qualifying exam.
- Should have completed 12 years of schooling with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology as compulsory subjects.
- Must have a minimum average of 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology/Biotechnology (PCB) in 10+2 or equivalent exams.
Foreign Candidates
- Must have studied in an English-medium school.
- Mathematics and Physics must be mandatory subjects at A level/Form VI/Senior VI or its equivalent.
- The third subject can be Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Biotechnology, or Biology.
- Must have a minimum of 55% aggregate in these subjects in 10+2 or equivalent exams.
VITEEE 2025 Admission Process and Counseling
Candidates who successfully qualify for the VITEEE 2025 will be eligible to participate in the counseling process. During counseling, seat allotment will be based on the candidate’s merit, seat availability, and their preferred choices. Students can select their preferred campus and B.Tech program during this process.
VITEEE 2025 Reservation Criteria and Required Documents
- SC/ST Candidates: Must provide their SC/ST certificate as proof of their category.
- Jammu and Kashmir/ North-Eastern States Candidates: Must provide a Certificate to Prove Nativity.
- Failure to submit the necessary documentation during the admission process will result in disqualification from the admission process. The institute’s decision regarding admission will be final.
