Tezpur University invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DST-SERB sponsored research project led by Dr. Pranjal Kumar Gogoi. The project focuses on developing low-cost, flexible, and printable MXene-Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Hybrid Hydrogen Gas Sensors for next-generation green energy applications.
The ideal candidate should hold a Master's degree in Physics or related subjects, or M.Tech/ME in Material Science/Nanotechnology/Electronics, from a recognized university with UGC-CSIR NET/GATE or equivalent qualifications. Experience in material characterization and structural analysis of 2D materials is desirable. The fellowship for the position is Rs. 37,000/- plus 8% HRA for the first and second years, and Rs. 42,000/- plus 8% HRA for the third year.
Applicants should not exceed 28 years of age at the time of application, with age relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules. The initial appointment is for one year, extendable based on performance, up to 29/01/2027. Age Limit for Tezpur University Recruitment 2024
Candidates applying for the position must be under 28 years old as of the last date of application submission. The upper age limit may be relaxed in accordance with Government of India regulations. Initially, the appointment will be for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension up to 29/01/2027 based on satisfactory performance, and will be co-terminus with the project or until further notice, whichever occurs earlier.
Pay Scale for Tezpur University Recruitment 2024
The fellowship is Rs. 37,000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd year, along with 8% House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per applicable rules. For the 3rd year, the fellowship increases to Rs. 42,000/- per month, also with 8% HRA as per rules for Senior Research Fellowship (SRF).
