The School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPAV), is recruiting for 10 Assistant Professor positions with a salary range of Rs. 55,000-65,000 per month. The positions are contractual, initially for six months, extendable up to a year based on performance.
Applicants need a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and a Master's degree in relevant fields such as Architectural Conservation, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Building Engineering Management, or Planning, with at least 60% marks. Additionally, one year of experience in teaching, research, or industry is required, along with conference papers or journal publications.
The Architecture department has six vacancies, and the Planning department has four. Walk-in interviews will be held at SPAV, Vijayawada, with the Architecture department's interviews on June 12, 2024, and the Planning department's on June 13, 2024. Qualifications Details for SPAV Recruitment 2024
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and Master's Degree in Architectural Conservation/Landscape Architecture/Urban Design/Building Engineering Management / Master of Design/ General Architecture/Environmental Architecture/ Interior Design/any relevant Master's in the field of Architecture, with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Master's Degree. Or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and Master's Degree in Planning (with any specialization) with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Master's Degree.
- Equivalence of First class is a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate, if a class or division is not awarded. One (01) year experience in teaching and/or research and/or industry in a reputed organization. ii. Papers presented at Conference and/or referred journals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/Planning/Technology/Engineering and Master Degree in Planning with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Master Degree. Or Master Degree in Economics/Geography/Sociology and Master's Degree in Planning with First Class equivalent in BOTH the two Master's Degree. There, for the above; Equivalence of First class is a minimum of 60% in aggregate, if a class or division is not awarded.
Pay Scale for SPAV Recruitment 2024
These positions are purely on contract basis initially for a tenure of six months, extendable from time-to-time upto one year, subject to satisfactory performance, which will be reviewed at the end of each semester (06 months). The consolidated remuneration will be Rs.55,000/- per month for those possessing Post Graduate Degree and Rs.65,000/- per month for those possessing a Ph.D degree.

Walk-in interviews for the Architecture department will be held on June 12, 2024, starting at 10:30 AM. For the Planning department, the interviews are scheduled for June 13, 2024, also beginning at 10:30 AM.
