What are the tie-breaking rules followed in NEIGRIHMS Result 2024?

If two or more candidates secure the same score in NEIGRIHMS Result 2024 (in Prelims as well as in Mains Exam), Tie cases will be resolved by applying one after another, as applicable till the Tie is resolved.

About NEIGRIHMS

North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) is a medical institute located in Shillong, Meghalaya, India. Situated on the outskirts of Shillong, known as the "Scotland of the East," NEIGRIHMS started its full-fledged tertiary care hospital facilities at its permanent campus in Mawdiangdiang in 2007.

Established as an Autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in 1987, it was declared a "Centre of Excellence" by the Parliament of India. The MBBS teaching program commenced in 2008 with an intake of 50 students, followed by Postgraduate courses in Anaesthesiology, Microbiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Pathology in 2009.

Subsequently, PG courses were initiated in Anatomy, General Medicine, General Surgery, and Radiodiagnosis and Imaging. NEIGRIHMS also offers a DM course in Cardiology and conducts B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing courses with an annual intake of 50 and 10 seats respectively, through its College of Nursing established in 2006.

The Institute was formally inaugurated and dedicated to the nation on March 5, 2010, by Smt. Sonia Gandhi, the chairperson of the UPA government, after functioning from its present campus at Mawdiangdiang for several years.
