1. Physics and Measurement:
- System of Units, SI Units, fundamental and derived units, least count, significant figures, errors in measurements, dimensions of physical quantities, dimensional analysis and its applications.
2. Kinematics:
- Frame of reference, motion in a straight line, position-time graph, speed and velocity, uniform and non-uniform motion, acceleration, velocity-time graph, scalar and vector quantities, projectile motion, uniform circular motion.
3. Laws of Motion:
- Force and inertia, Newton’s Laws of Motion, momentum, impulse, conservation of linear momentum, equilibrium of forces, friction, dynamics of circular motion.
4. Work, Energy, and Power:
- Work done by constant and variable forces, kinetic and potential energy, work-energy theorem, power, conservation of mechanical energy, collisions.
5. Rotational Motion:
- Centre of mass, moment of inertia, torque, angular momentum, rotational equations of motion, equilibrium of rigid bodies.
