The Department of Education in Social Sciences (DESS), a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), operating under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, seeks to fill project staff positions for the GOI-MOE-NCERT Research Project (FY 2024-2025) titled "A Study of Economic Conceptions in Indian Knowledge System." This recruitment drive is purely on a temporary and contractual basis.
They are looking for a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) until March 31, 2025, with the following qualifications: post-graduation in Social Science, Education, or Language (Sanskrit, Hindi, and English) with 55% marks or equivalent (50% for SC/ST/PH) and NET in relevant discipline or equivalent qualifications, along with two years' experience in research projects in any organization.
Additionally, proficiency in Hindi and English typing (Unicode), as well as working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and other software for data analysis, is required. The responsibilities include writing, organizing workshops at the Centre and State levels, and maintaining administrative records. The interview is scheduled for May 30, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at the DESS Conference Room, 3rd floor, Janaki Ammal Block, Near SBI, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-16.

Qualifications Details for NCERT Recruitment 2024
- Post - graduation in Social Science / Education / Language (Sanskrit, Hindi and English) with 55% marks or equivalent (50% for SC/ST/PH) and NET in relevant discipline OR equivalent qualifications.
- Working Knowledge of Hindi(typing in Unicode) and English.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and other software used in data Analysis.
- Experience in data collection and its interpretation, data handling/analysis, Report writing, book writing, organizing workshops at Centre and State levels, maintaining data and records of administrative nature.
Age Limit for NCERT Recruitment 2024

Pay Scale for NCERT Recruitment 2024

- The candidates who fulfil the required essential and desirable qualifications and eligibility conditions may attend the interview on the date and time mentioned above along with their bio-data, original mark sheets / certificates etc. One set of self-attested copies of certificates / testimonials and two passport size photograph may also be submitted.
- Person whose degree is awaited, please do not apply. Candidates attending interview will not be paid any TA/DA by the NCERT. The candidates working with other organization should forward the application through their employer or bring a 'No Objection Certificate' at the time of interview. The selected candidate may be required to join immediately.
- The interview is scheduled for May 30th, 2024, commencing at 11:30 a.m. Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. sharp. Please note that no candidates will be accommodated after 11:30 a.m. The venue for the interview is the DESS Conference Room, located on the 3rd floor of the Janaki Ammal Block, near SBI, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-16.
