What are the tie-breaking rules followed in KPSC Result 2024?

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) is a government agency in Karnataka responsible for recruiting candidates to various civil services through competitive and departmental examinations within its jurisdiction covering an area of 191,791 square kilometers (74,051 square miles).

Initially, Karnataka lacked a recruitment agency, but on May 16, 1921, the government established the Central Recruitment Board. Under British rule, it was headed by a commissioner secretary on January 19, 1940.

Five years after independence, on May 18, 1951, the Public Service Commission was established under the provisions of the Indian Constitution and Public Service Commission Regulations 1950. H.B. Gundappa Gowda was appointed as the first Chairman, with Sri George Matthan and Sri H.M. Mallikarjunappa as Members of the Commission in May 1951.
