JSERC is inviting applications for the position of Chairperson-cum-Member (Legal) based in Ranchi. Eligible candidates should be retired or retiring judicial officers not below the rank of Additional District Judge with 20 years of judicial experience, and between 45 and 62 years old as of August 1, 2024.
The appointment is full-time, focusing exclusively on the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) duties, with no other concurrent responsibilities. The term is for three years, extendable up to five years based on satisfactory performance, but not beyond the age of 65. Applications, including a full bio-data and relevant degree copies, should be sent by registered or speed post by July 5, 2024.
Current officers should also send a copy through their employer. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered, and eligibility is determined as of August 1, 2024. Qualifications Details for JSERC Recruitment 2024
- The Candidate shall be Retired / Retiring (not later than 30.6.2024) Judicial officer, who held the post not below the rank of Additional District Judge having 20 years of experience in judicial work.
- The Chairperson-cum-Member (Legal) of the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) shall be appointed on Full time basis to discharge exclusively the function of the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF)and he shall not hold any other post or undertake any other work.
Age Limit for JSERC Recruitment 2024
- The age of the candidate to be considered for appointment as Chairperson-cumMember (Legal) shall be minimum45 (forty-five) years and maximum 62 (sixty-two) as on 01.08.2024.
- Chairperson-cum-Member (Legal) shall hold office for a term of five years or SixtyFive years of age, whichever is earlier. Initial appointment shall be for a period of three years extendable up to further two years on satisfactory service. No person shall be appointed after attaining age of 62 years as on 01.08.2024.
