The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is set to announce the second mock allotment result today, June 17, for the first round of counseling. Eligible candidates who have applied for undergraduate seats at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and seats under the NIT+ system can check their results on josaa.nic.in. This mock allotment is based on the choices submitted by candidates until June 16. After the announcement of the second mock allotment result, candidates will be able to lock their choices.

Steps for JoSAA 2024 Registration & Choice Filling
Step 1: Registration
To begin, visit the official website of JoSAA 2024.
- Click on the registration link provided.
- Enter your JEE Main 2024 roll number and password to initiate the registration process.
- For JEE Advanced 2024 qualified candidates, use the corresponding password for login.
- Provide basic details including nationality, state code of eligibility, gender, and other required information.
- Review all entered details carefully and confirm.
- Note that once submitted, personal information cannot be modified except for contact details.
Step 2: JoSAA Choice Filling After completing the JoSAA registration:
- Candidates need to log in and fill in their choices of courses and colleges from the available list.
- The options will be based on the candidate's eligibility determined by their JEE Main or JEE Advanced qualifications.
- Candidates should prioritize their choices in the order of preference.
Step 3: Choice Locking Once the choice filling is completed:
- Candidates must lock their selected choices.
- Note that no changes can be made once the choices are locked.
- It's advisable to take a printout of the locked choices for future reference.
JoSAA Counselling 2024? - FAQ
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is constituted by MHRD to conduct a common counselling procedure for the allocation of seats on the basis of JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks. The seats allocated through JoSAA 2024 will be at IITs, NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs.
There is no application fee for JoSAA 2024 registration and choice filling.
