The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) is a constitutional body established in 2019 by the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, serving as the senior-most civil service authority of the Government of India.
Headquartered in Srinagar city, JKPSC is led by a chairman responsible for overseeing the recruitment process, policy formulation, and implementation. The appointment of the chairman and other members, as well as the determination of their number and terms of service, are made by the state governor. As of February 2024, A K Choudhary, an IPS officer, holds the position of chairman of the JKPSC.
