Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, is inviting applications for the role of Patient Counsellor on a contract basis under a funded research project. The position requires a minimum educational qualification of a Graduate in Medical Social Work or Nursing, with preference given to candidates experienced in counselling oncology patients and fluent in Tamil.
In the absence of qualified candidates, individuals with a 12th pass and two years of hospital experience in patient guidance are eligible. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 16,500 for an initial contract period of six months, extendable based on performance.

Qualifications Details for JIPMER Recruitment 2024

- Experience duration and area – Experience in patient care / Fresher

Pay Scale for JIPMER Recruitment 2024

The initial duration of the contract is 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs 16,500 per month, exclusive of any other allowances.
Selection Process for JIPMER Recruitment 2024

- After the evaluation of the application form, the recruitment process will be as follows: Written test (areas which will be covered): It will consist of 40 MCQs (2 marks each) covering general social counselling, psychology, patient navigation, general oncology and basic computer skills. Interview (areas which will be covered).
