Eligibility Criteria for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
- The engagement period for Flying Branch SSC officers is fourteen years from the date of Commissioning. The initial tenure for SSC officers in Ground Duty (Tech and Non-Tech) branches would be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit.
- Grant of Permanent Commission (PC) (at a later date) would be considered subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit and as per prevailing policies on the subject. (iv) SSC officers are not entitled for grant of pension.
Age Limit for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
Flying Branch: Candidates must be between 20 to 24 years old as of 01 July 2025, meaning they should be born between 02 July 2001 and 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive). However, the upper age limit is extendable to 26 years for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India), meaning they should be born between 02 July 1999 and 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive).
Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: Candidates must be between 20 to 26 years old as of 01 July 2025, meaning they should be born between 02 July 1999 and 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive).
Pay Scale for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
The rank of Flying Officer offers a pay scale according to the Defence Matrix, ranging from Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 at Level 10. Additionally, the position includes a Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs. 15,500.
Application Fee for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
The AFCAT entry examination will be conducted online at various centers. Candidates registering for the AFCAT entry must pay a non-refundable examination fee of Rs. 550 plus GST. However, candidates registering for NCC Special entry are exempt from this fee. Details regarding the conduct of the exam, examination centers, and modes of payment are available in the notification.
