IIT Ropar is looking for a Junior Research Fellow for a project focused on soil quality enhancement and crop recommendation using machine learning models. The position requires candidates with a BE/ME/M.Tech/MS (by research) in Chemical Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, Bio-Technology, or related fields, or a Master’s degree in Chemistry, with at least 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA) for general category and 55% marks (or 6.0 CGPA) for SC/ST candidates.
GATE/NET score is not mandatory. Experience in experimental set-up design, agriculture data modeling, basic AI/ML techniques is preferred. The age limit for applicants is 35 years, with relaxation per Government of India norms. The selected candidate will receive remuneration as per DST norms. Qualifications Details for IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024
- BE/ME/M.Tech/MS (by research) in Chemical Engineering/Agriculture Engineering/Bio-Technology/allied branches or Master’s degree in Chemistry. Candidate must have obtained at least 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA) (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST) in their bachelor’s and Master’s. GATE/NET score is not mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in designing experimental set-up, performing experiments, and collecting data (b) Experience of agriculture data modeling and analysis,(c) Experience in basic AI/ML techniques is an added advantage
