IISER Kolkata is inviting applications for the position of Project Associate I, with a monthly remuneration of Rs. 31,000, which includes a base salary of Rs. 25,000 and a 24% House Rent Allowance (HRA). The role, based in Kolkata, has an initial tenure of 12 months, extendable based on project needs and candidate performance.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Human Physiology, or Biotechnology, and a Bachelor’s degree in the same fields from a UGC-recognized university, with Chemistry as a pass subject. Candidates should be GATE-qualified or NET-LS and possess at least 2 years of research experience in a reputable national lab. Preferred experience includes computational biology, solid-phase peptide synthesis, biophysical characterization of biomolecules, cell-based work, and in vivo work with zebrafish, mice, or rabbits. Publications are an added advantage.

Qualifications Details for IISER Kolkata Recruitment 2024
Master’s degree in Bioinformatics/Human Physiology/ Biotechnology and Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics/Physiology/Biotechnology from any UGC recognized University. Candidate needs to have Chemistry as one of the pass subjects. Candidates need to be either GATE-qualified/NET-LS and having at least 2 year’s research experience in a good national lab.
Prior two year’s experience in computational biology, solid phase peptide synthesis, biophysical characterization of biomolecules, cell based work and in vivo work (zebrafish/mice/rabbit) are preferred. It will be better if the candidate has publications
